The Beach

If you are coming to Thailand and visit the island of Koh Samui looking for solitude and relaxation, away from the crowds, then The Lipa Lovely Samui Resort ( former Big John Beach Resort )at the west coast with its beautiful sunsets is certainly the right choice for you. Here at the beautiful Tong Yang Beach (or Lipa Noi Beach) is the ideal place for a sunset walk, a nice swim in the shallow waters or just sunbathing within a still unspoiled landscape of coconut plantations at the white sandy beach. Right in front of your door you will find a fine coastline about 3 km long. The sandy beach (no rocks, stones, corals, currents - like in other parts of the island) slopes down very soft, so even for small children or poor swimmers there will be no danger at all. The sunset on the west coast speaks for itself.

The Resort

The Lipa Koh Samui Hotel and Resort offers a great variety of accommodation in the price range from 30 to 80 Euro.
The former Big John beach resort already existed since 1994, but was completely rebuild in 2004 to meet the standards of a 3 star accommodation. The owners (3 sisters) were well known all over the island for their great hospitality and the location was featured several times on national and international television, newspapers (e.g. London Times) and travel guides (e.g. Lonely Planet).

The Lipa Lovely Resort consists of  6 garden villas (4-6 person), 11 garden bungalows, 3 beachfront bungalows, 7 beach bungalows and 15 hotel rooms. Around 60 staff will take good care of all your needs and will make your stay unforgettable. 30% of the yearly guests were visiting Big John for the second or more times.

The Location

The Lipa Lovely Samui resort is located at the beautiful and still unspoiled south-west coast of Koh  Samui at TONG YANG BEACH, close to the ferry piers to the mainland and the neighboring islands. "Nathon" the capital of Ko Samui is only 4 km away and provides excellent shopping facilities. Also in very close distance are the 3 major waterfalls, Samui Snake Farm, Ko Samui Tiger Zoo, several temples, the magic gardens, Butterfly Garden, Samui Naga Pearl Farm and the biggest elephant camps on Ko samui island.

The Restaurant

A must is also to pay a visit to our award winning (best seafood restaurant on the island) Big John seafood restaurant, where our friendly staffs is waiting to comfort you. Big John Seafood is a very unique place located right at the beach, where you might just hang out as well as wine and dine with the locals and residents, while watching one of the most exiting and colorful sunsets on the island. One of the best Samui seafood and Thai cuisine is served here all day and is accompanied every evening by singers, dancers and various shows to entertain you.
